Dirty mouth? Me too sometimes! Only Orbit gum doesn’t seem to fix it. What do I mean by dirty mouth I mean the kind that refers to what the Bible teaches us about letting our mouth be “gracious” and our words “seasoned with salt”. You know the Ole saying, “if you can’t say something nice probably shouldn’t say anything at all” turns out the author must have studied the Bible because that is basically what Jesus teaches. Kinda ? haha…Well life is tough sometimes, people are hurtful and it is sometimes easier to mask our pain by lashing hurtful words back or stirring our own negativity and beating ourselves or the ones we love up with our words! But friend, this is not what Jesus longs for us to do. He longs for us to spread grace with our mouths so we can be an encouragement to ourselves and others and ultimately so we can make Him famous. It is tough. I get it. I deal too. In this video I discuss what the Bible says about our mouths and how we speak and how it really is a reflection of our hearts. Take heart friend, you are not alone and we are walking down the same path–lets heal together! (VIDEO LINK BELOW)
Scripture in this Video:
29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
